Drop down a grade. If the engine starts to pink (ping) go back. If not,
drop down another grade and repeat step 2. Note that it may take a tank or
two to purge out all the high test so if you ping right away go back right
away but if it doesn't ping right away, keep listening. The premium mixed
in may boost the octane enough to prevent pinging but straight mid-grade
will start to ping once there is no more premium.
Be sure your timing is set where you want it before you start.
