Terry:

The petrol stop (shut off valve) was located under the hood between the
steel line coming from the tank and the flex line to the pump.  The round
knob was a simple push and twist affair to shut off the gravity  flow from
the tank.  Handy when you needed to remove the pump or clean out the
sediment bowl but they had a bad reputation for leaking which is why many
were discarded and a hose went direct from the line to the pump.

Nothing printed that I have found gives a definite TS number for the valves
removal but it was somewhere in the TS50000 / TS60000 range.  That shut off
valve was on all of the side screen cars up to that TS50000 / TS60000 range
(about Fall of 1958).

Those assembly line workers are laughing in their graves hearing us discuss
what they considered trivial.
