Hi Raymond:

There must have been a few show models made up; I believe they destroyed about
200 of them during production of the original TV series. In making the recent
film, I understand they contented themselves with just destroying the series...

Cheers,

Mark

On my way home Friday, my wife called and asked me to detour and meet her where
she was working. So I pulled on to the Interstate to make the trip from Little
Rock to Conway, AR. Traffic was it's usual 'building to a standstill' for rush
hour, so I was weaving my way through the slower cars when I noticed a car
carrier up ahead, loaded down with different cars. The rear vehicle on the top
rack was some type of SUV, so it obscured my ability to see the car in front of
it, but I could swear it was an LBC. So I worked a little harder to get close,
and now I was sure it was some type of Triumph. Worked a little closer and
finally got a clear view of it - a very clean, burgundy pre '74 TR6! Looked to
be in showcar condition. I'm finally pulling up next to it and admiring the
TR6 when I glance at the bottom row of the carrier - and am staring right at
the General Lee! Having just seen a preview I could confirm it was correct
right down to the wheels - either the 'real' thing or a very nicely done
replica. I kind of liked the irony of the Triumph being on top, but thought it
was pretty cool to see two such different performance cars riding together :)
