I've had a leaker but it just failed along the solder joint.  
Replacements are of course available for about 20 bucks (over here at 
least) and look as original.  I used one of those then tried repairing 
mine just for fun.  Was able to solder it up fine but got a bit of 
solder inside it so it does have a rattle when you shake it.  Yours 
however may be 'toast' as those many cracks would seem difficult to get 
closed up once and for all.
