Hi,
My radiator was stopped up and not working. I bought and have recieved a used
replacement radiator over ebay for $175 (shown below):
1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1>
I took this ebay radiator to a retired radiator man who said that judging from
it's appearance (rusted shrouding only) and presense of soot that he thought
it had been thru a fire and therefore he thought 'misrepresented' when it had
said to be 'good.' However, by running water thru it he found it to be 'not
stopped up'. He did no other test on it.

I have yet to contact the ebay seller to see if he will negoatiate anything.
I know he maynot negotiate anything, even though he has already left positive
feedback for me, AND I HAVE YET TO GIVE HIM ANY FEEDBACK. In fact, I am
thinking of taking the radiator to another radiator professional for a second
opinion. Also, I have yet to attach it to my car and run it with the car up
on jack stands.

I understand that I am the one who decided to take the risk and buy this 50
year old radiator. I was a bit put-off that my retired radiator man said it
was 'not good' on the basis of it's age and appearance only. I guess I want
to ask the list on the basis of WHAT should I make my judgement call?

Thanks,
Never-driven-a-Triumph Paul Dorsey,
