An original TR3 radiator has an unusual construction ... the tubes run through 
holes in the fins rather than the fins zig-zagging back and forth between 
tubes.  Thus the fins can be completely detached from the tubes, meaning little 
or no heat transfer, but the fins won't fall out.  And it's very hard to see if 
the joint is tight or not.
