Paul,

I opted to use 1/4 " carpet felt underlayment. I got a remnant from a friend's
carpet store. This stuff seems to be made out of just about every fiber known
to man. I cut patterns from the carpets and glued it to the carpet with that
3m spray stuff. The transmission and floor carpets are secured to the body
using snaps.

I have it installed on the 58 3A. But since I usually drive with the top down,
dont know about noise. And heat is never a problem.

I also did the TR4 project carpets but have yet to install them. I am waiting
to finish all the painting etc. As with the 3, the 4 floor and transmission
carpets will be secured to the body with snaps.

Most of the rest of the carpets are secured to the body with that carpet
double stick tape. I didnt want to use glue just in case I needed to remove
the carpets. I do have to press then once in awhile.

Bob
