Hi Dave,
I think the value of the Moss kit is that everything you need is there =
in the box.
I used a Delco 7127 which I think is a 60 amp unit it I'm not mistaken. =
I have a narrow belt kit on my TR4A that also has a harmonic balancer =
incorporated in that kit. The trick is getting everything lined up =
correctly and actually getting it to fit. I am curious what other types =
of alternators people have used. I have a page on it on my website it =
you are interested in seeing how I did it.
http://www.davestr4a.com

Go to the electrical page and then the alternator. I installed it before =
I had the tub on the frame=20

  Hey all ~

  I know we've been down this road numbers of times but I was wondering =
if,=20
  among those who have converted to the use of an alternator, is there a =
model=20
  someone can recommend? Since some folks ask why, I anticipate adding=20
  electrical loads with various electrical needs and yes, I'd like to =
consider=20
  use of LED headlamps. Seems like the Moss conversion kit (130-058) is=20
  somewhat pricey, being north of $300.
