I believe they would be approved for use in the Florida SCCA Vintage
Program with the addition of a horizontal tube extending the entire
width of the hoop, attached to the diagonal.  Diagram is in the GCR. 
The seat back must be firmly attached to the roll bar (or chassis) as
well.
