I genuinely enjoy the Vintage Bulletin Board. I read every entry regardless
of the heading. You just never know when you're gonna learn something new.
It's a great forum to exchange information and opinions on this obsession we
share.
But it's not just a network for those of us "who know everything" It's also
for the newcomer and the inexperienced. I'll bet it takes a while to screw
up enough courage to ask a question if you're new to the sport and it really
pains me to see a smart ass reply to a genuine question.
Yeah sure, most of us know about Jim Clark, and the easy answer to a budget
question is " if you have to ask you can't afford it". But both of those
inquiries deserve an answer, not ridicule for asking the question.
