How much of the original car must you have to qualify? Would a s/n
plaque be enough? Would a seat, dash, or what? Has this been written
in stone as yet?
I have heard of cars being "rebuilt" from an original engine head. It was
traced to a particular serial number, and that car was recreated. This
topic was discussed time ago on the vintage bulletin board. Incidentally,
in the case I'm thinking about (car emerges from a head) the original car
was eventually located. Bummer for the fellow who had the major investment
in recreating it!
