Tach hook-up

Hi all,

Trying to figure out how to hook up an electronic tach from a series IV
but I am having trouble, which is the tach signal lead on the back of
the tach? Is it the threaded stud or the spade terminal and if its the
stud what is the spade terminal for? If no one knows maybe someone
could post Tiger Toms E-mail address, he rebuilt it for me.
