The tukning book is "The Sunbeam Alpine Series II Special Tuning"I Got it
From Sunbeam Specialties. Seems like a pretty good place to start from.
Some of the tuning ideas I'm using for head work and building on that. The
Cam timing is

                        Spec Tuning Book ISKY Cam

Inlet valve opens 25 BTDC 19
Inlet valve closes 59 ABDC 60
Exhaust valve opens 63 BBDC 54
Exhaust valve closes 21 ATDC 25

The Isky is the hotter cam. The model # is SB-2. I don't know if it is
available or not and if it works for the 1725 engine. My racing buds are
thinking and talking. If something comes up better I'll post. Jarrid may
have been here already and could give his opinion on the cam timing. The
Isky info came from the book "Sunbeam Tiger and Alpine Gold Portfolio" publi
shed by Motorbooks International, Osceola, Wisconsin 54020, USA.

I've got one question for any one. I want to use a flat top piston. The
stock piston seems pretty heavy. Has any one use Bayless or other suppliers
pistons? The custom guys want to much money
