Hey Kvack..... Lets kick the class around here on the list.... see what we
can come up with..... Maybe this list can come up with something worth while
long term....

Personally I don't think the 1970 limit is the right one.... Personally I
like the 1980 or before.... American cars didn't get that much smaller these
years and honestly my 80 Camaro and the 53 Stude are about the same size
car.... (both Bricks in disguise)

I doubt my car would qualify as I am going to update the Fuel system this
year.. but when I sell the car sure would be nice if someone could race it
competitively.... Keith

classifications and safety requirements are the same as currently in use
including any changes made in the future by SCTA/BNI for competition at
Bonniville. For cars to be eligible for records in "N" class they must
use automobile bodies built before 1970. All modifications allowed by SCTA
for the various classifications are allowed except the use of electronic
engine controls. Class records will be initially filled with current or
past record holders with the fastest record in their various classes that
meet the requirements for "N" class status. This is what I think is
needed to keep the old cars running on the salt and not be pushed out of
the arena by much more aerodynamic cars. This could be accomplished without
the electronic restriction but I doubt if it would be quit as successful
and wouldn't preserve the sight and sounds that so many of us lust for at
Bonniville. If you agree with th!

future SCTA/USFRA sanctioned meets and If the proposal has merit and enough
support I'm sure it will be discussed at future rules committee meetings.
Thanks for bearing with me on this and give it some thought. L. Kvach
