Bonneville is the last great amateur race in the world because of the people
who run it-an all volunteer group.  We should  be giving them more credit.

 In over 20 years of racing and being associated with 8 Bonneville cars I
would say inspection is first-rate.  I have not always agreed with the
inspector but I always knew he had my best interest at heart.  That is, to
save my neck in a crash.I have heard stories about inspectors looking the
other way for their buddy, but I always thought ,if true, he would have to
live with his consience if his buddy got killed.
