Pit bikes

Watch the wise old-timers out on the salt like Don Francisco, George Hill
(when he was with us) and the like.  They pedal those bikes at a very
leisurely rate but get there just the same.  
Now if you want to go faster check out the motorized bar stools ... single
12 volt battery, 22 inch wheelbase, no transmissions and only one motor. 
Must have originally been a bar stool.  Steering is somewhat rudimentary but
recommended as is a throttle.  The most asked question is whether those who
race them have a blood alcohol level over the legal limit for driving on the
street.  A valid question when there are some who use the 5 hp Briggs and
Stratton engines ... punched up to around 40 hp.  Check out the NASCAR pits
for examples of these.
We had a popular diversion during a water related delay a couple of years
ago ... push car races.  Inventive folks these racers!
