List and JB

For rapid testing numbers you perhaps need one of those 'black box' systems
such as Racelogic or Datron make. Magazines use them for acceleration and
other forms of testing, swapping quickly between cars - bikes may need a
different model. Most have very impressive software.

In fact John, why not find out which car/bike magazine is near to NC or
Maxton and have them run the tests on all the different types of race cars
and bikes you would assemble there for them. They get a full story on
practical aero work and the racers get their own figures.

Many team have told the anecdote of wool tufting one side of the car and
then having the camera film the clean side - one or two might be true! One
camera on a tripod near the lights with remote control and all vehicles
tufted on say the right side should give a great 3 hour film show we could
all learn from. Cost of copies to non participants pays for the equipment
hire! Hey, invite Cris S over for a 'free' weekend in the east!

Racers would of course keep the details of car/bike configuration to
themselves (unless it was obvious like taped over body gaps) - such as
higher or lower tyre pressures on alternating runs, reduced oil viscosity
on one last run, backing off the brake pads from discs etc... etc....

Sounds like a seventh event for ECTA John B.
