Of course, this tests only ONE of several stress factors on our lsr tires.
Still-- very encouraging.

Having briefly looked-into tire construction principles and the logic behind
radials, I have been thinking that radial construction may be better for ALL
categories of lsr tires.  Better resistance to "growth" (compared to bias
plies-- like the MTs) is a key factor.  I think your Michelin may have
demonstrated that.  They hardly grew more than pure lsr tires-- even with
the heavy Pilot tread pattern.

I'd love to see what one of those puppies would do "shaved"!

One question-- does the Burkland's spinner turn the tire through the axle
(spinning "free")-- or do they rotate the tire with a drum against the
tread?

P.S.-- I've blown tires on a (DOT-qualification) drum-type tire tester at
120mph, and I recall that it was pretty dramatic.  I'll bet it WAS exciting
to witness a failure at 417mph!  Yee-haw!!
