Good answer Dave and I agree.  I'm speaking like the "old" guys would
have. All the 50's cars I or my parents had did come with skirts (not
aftermarket) Our 55 Ford and 55 Olds 88 come to mind. But if ran them at
a SCTA meet the skirts had to come off. Just the way it was!!! So I
threw that out there to see what the folks would say-----and you
responded. 

The modern vehicles of today are much better in all ways. If I was
building a new comp coupe the last car I would pick would be a Crosley;
there are many vehicles manufactured in the last 5 years which would be
better starts.  

Look at the remake of the T-Bird; (which I like) to meet federal Regs it
had to be more areo than the 55-57.  Thanks Again J.D.
