Hi All,
My understanding of this from my local AC guy, is that the R-12
system needs to be flushed and a different compressor oil added, other
than that all they normally do ( at significant expense I might add) is
change out the hoses. Why change the hoses? Well, that's usually where
the service ports are, and when you go to a R-134 system, the pressure
connections on the service ports change to a different connector so
some dummy does't put R-12 in a R-134 system or vice versa.
