I won't say anything about "engine pain" as it appears you have enough of
that. But to clean the engine, spray it liberally with "Gunk" from an auto
supply store. Castrol has a new product called Super Clean, or something
like that, that works very well also. Brush the cleaner in with a stiff
brush, hose off. It may need to be done several times. A screwdriver will
get into tight corners. You can rent a pressure washer to make this easier.
