Just chiming in.  The MGB tail light harness is readily accessible where the
right fender meets the firewall. 

I used a few double connectors and bullets to patch a 4 wire line out
through the grille area.  When I got to the race track, the line was coiled
up and stashed behind the grille (making sure there was no possibility of
shorts)
