Joe,
  Changing oil in MGB should not challenge the ability of the lads at
JiffyLube, and the filter is one that Ford used on a V8 for years, so
they should have one in stock if they can find the # in their catalogue. 
Most places are fussy about customers bringing their own supplies, but
that depends on the manager.  
  After the job is done, I would check that the new filter was in
stalled, that the drain plug was put back in, and that the oil level is
OK.
  But I would not let them tamper with anything else under the bonnet.
One experience with a quick-change outfit topping up the brake MC with
ATF taught me that.
