Greg,

 Thanks for the history lesson. While it may be true that Mr. Fink kept
the marque going in the seventies and early eighties... I can understand
your obvious defense of a friend, however I expect you will next be telling
me that Mr. Fink has crash-tested three NEW cars to verify his latest
sweep brackets !!! Be logical, man. Do you believe that Sharples would
suddenly be using shock-mounted bumpers which he had never done
for the previous eleven years if he had any legitimate alternative?!
They were Mr Fink's creation.

 Today MMC is a bit different. Charles Morgan is, more or less
running things, MMC developed the SRS, MY car has Land Rover
Certified OBD II, Land Rover door latches for that matter. New
DOT and EEC are not that different.
