Lots of years ago NHRA tech inspectors had a device that screwed 
into an engine's spark plug hole and measured displacement 
by putting a fluid in the cylinder at BTC, hand cranking the 
engine to TDC and measuring how much fluid was pushed back into 
the device.  Maybe such a tool still exists??

Just brainstorming here. I haven't looked in the cylinder through the spark
plug
hole to see if I can stick a piece of wire in there and get it to kink to
guage
the bore. ok, stupid idea, hehe
