I've got an easy out kit. This is an hardened stud. I possibly could drill
and
place an easy out but, this stud is six inches deep into the block. In order
to easy-out it I would have to drill a long way in some pretty tough metal in
order to get a fair grip. If I can drill this stuff at all.

Pickup an ez-out kit from your local hardware supply if you don't
already have one. Drill out the center of the broken bolt and use
ez-out to remove broken bolt. It seems to work everytime.

An ez-out, is like a backwards tappered drill bit as you screw it into
the hole you drill it tightens down and allows you to remove the broken
bolt.

If all suggestions fail drill out a install a heily coil (sp?) usally as
strong or stronger then original.

It's a good idea to use some anti-seize when re-assembling. This will
help prevent bolts from breaking off. A must whenever two dissimlar
types of metal. (example: aluminum block and stainless bolts).
