We have also covered the fact that the carbs work perfectly at idle, when 
the fuel usage is the lowest and the inlet needle should be working the 
hardest. The ONLY way he could be squirting fuel to the radiator at high rpm 
when the fuel usage is the highest and the inlet needle should be loafing 
along is that the inlet needle is seeing a LOT more pressure. Vibration just 
can't do that. As Bob said, it is easyenough to carefully plumb in a vacuum 
gauge just ahead of the carbs and see what is really happening to the 
pressure rather than just slamming in a Weber, having the same thing happen 
to it, quietly fix the real problem, but be afraid to tell us that the Weber 
didn't fix it so we all start to believe that there was a problem with the 
SU carbs. Fortunately, Frank is never afraid to confess when something 
doesn't work ;-)
