The downside to letting potential overdogs in and then
booting them if they're too fast is the investment that
booted competitor made is largely wasted. Imagine if
someone builds a turbocharged 968 Club Sport for big
$$$ and gets to run one season in SM and then gets
booted for being an overdog.   Better to take care of
that kind of thing up front if possible. It's
definitely a balancing act.   I'd like to see the
944/968s, 928s, and 300ZXs included. I think it will
happen eventually.

Restricting a car because
