Ben, I had the same problem, added rectangular foam weather strip with one
sticky side to the top, knowing I had a fairly decent sized gap, and that
the weather strip compresses easily bought the thick stuff, maybe 3/4",
don't remember for sure, but it is available in various sizes, you may just
need to upsize it.
Mine seals pretty much all the rain and air out, of course I still get rain
from under the windshield bottom seal, which is pretty much useless. Don't
drive in the rain much, but when you go on long road trips you never know
what will happen.
