Cadillac mufflers are heavy, and actually quite restrictive--the
restriction quiets the exhaust.
I have dual 2 1/2" pipes, a crossover, dual DynoMax Super Turbo
mufflers and dual 2 1/2" tailpipes. According to the spec sheets these
mufflers flow just slightly less than a straight pipe. They did help
quite a bit performance-wise. It has just enough low rumble
(especially when you press the loud pedal ;-)) that you know it's
running (and none of that annoying blat-blat noise that cheaper
mufflers make), but is quiet enough that long trips are pleasant. :-)
