I'd have to dissagree somewhat on the POR-15. I painted my whole frame and all
of the drivetrain with this. Before I was done, I starting running out of it.
I switched to Rustoleum to paint part of the differential and it took at least 3
times as long to dry as the POR-15. If it dries somewhere that's not desired
(like your hands) then you're screwed. Went to work for a week with black
splotches all over my hands.

You're right though, it is high gloss and I think the only good way to paint
over it is when it's tacky - since it's a B#@$% to sand.

Chris, from what I have found Spitbits has the best floorpans, they are
exact replicas have all the hole and nuts inplace and there is no extra
work involved, VB's are cheasy - only 1 1/2 inch deep (they should be about
3) the curves are off and they do not have any of the reequired holes or
nots attached to them.
BTW they cost the same from both people.

POR-1 is a good protectant but is a nightmare to work with. very hard coat
but it takes hour and hours to dry, your paint brush can only be used once
and unless you pay alot extra (then only for semi-gloss) is a high gloss
paint.

No idea about rimmer, sorry.
