Oven cleaner is a common trick to clean motorcycle parts.  It works quite
well on aluminum castings.  Spray liberally over your parts and then cover
them up with a plastic trash bag and a large cardboard box.  You want to
trap those vapors next to the grease or it won't work.  Doing this on a
plastic tarp would be a REALLY good idea.
