It wasn't an article... just a letter, and rewritten as an article by the
editor, with my name as author (incorrect as well... I never use "Bill
Thompson"... only "Wm. Severin Thompson", and without the opportunity to
approve.. They even went as far as to edit "pissed" and change it to "mad".
The implication of the title and subsequent Editor's note was that I was to
blame or lax in my preparation. Those bolts were new last year, and had a
total of 3 races on them (grade 8). Do all of you completely disassemble,
magnaflux, and reassemble your cars before every race? (I thought I made the
point about it being something for Sprite folks to check with needing the
additional comment, don't you?)
