This could be a great subject for a new survey topic:  Best Explosions of or
having to do with Triumphs!  I once attached a battery charger to charge the
battery of my TR3, after having installed my nice clean newly re-built
engine.  Problem was, I had left the ignition key on.  Several hours later,
during a dinner with my new in-laws, the coil blew up.  Incredible clouds of
smoke poured out of the garage.  Tar over everything.  The coil casing looked
like the tin cans we used to light cherry bombs under when I was a kid.
 Re-built engine no longer looked so clean, and one of my in-laws still has a
nervous tic whenever she sits down to eat at my house.
