Egil,

Amsoil has a technical department that is very impressive. They know
all about Laycock Overdrives as well as other brands that use wet
clutches. Their product will not affect the operation of these type
overdrives. Even with a GL-5 rating. Not all GL-5 lubricants are
created equal. Some are made just for differentials and not
transmissions. The Buyer needs to be aware of this. Amsoil uses
friction modifiers for differentials but leaves them out for the
transmission application. Both are rated GL-5.
The important thing that Egil and I are trying to promote here is that
you ask these questions when buying to be sure you get the right product
for the right job!
