No, these jacks mount under the sills of the car, either behind the
fron wheel well, or ahead of the rear one, in big dimples under the
sill re-enforcing plates.  You don't need to get under the car at all,
and they don't need assembly.  (HMM, where's that foot pad for this
bumper jack, *&$@#)  Cadillac, Olds, Buick, etc. supplied them for 
years, maybe they still do, and most salvage yards have so many of
them that they get left in the cars for the crusher.  They're a sort
of combination of bumper-jack-type ratchet post, and 1/2 a scissors
jack - hard to describe, but very easy to use.  That and a cross-wrench,
and you-be all set !
