Yes my 6 was fitted with an external feed when I aquired it last year.The
head had been rebuilt 4000 miles ago with new guides so I couldn't
understand
what was going on. My problem was, I also had high oil pressure (100+ cold,
never
dropped below 65).This combination of high pressure and the feed lead to
a hell of a lot of oil swimming around the top end.This inevitably resulted
in oil getting past the guides(and past the rocker cap).
I removed the feed and shortened the oil relief
valve spring,no more oil burning and oil pressure max 70, min 45.
