For those of you for whom in floor radiant is not an option, a walk off mat
like those you see just inside the entrances to many commercial buildings
does a great job of insulating you from that cold slab in your otherwise
warm garage. They come in a variety of sizes. I have a 3'x5' and a 3'x10'.
You can usually buy these used fairly cheaply from companies that rent
uniforms, since many uniform rental places rent mats also, and sell off the
used mats when they start to show some wear.
