It sounds to me like a valve problem if it smokes at higher revs.
 
Wouldn't it be possible for a valve to bind up at high RPM ? - i.e.
dodgy valve spring and maybe oil from the rocker / valve area is making
its way down on the intake stroke into the cylinder and then being burnt
- hence the blue smoke at high rpm.
 
What sort of revs are we talking about anyway?
