I really can't understand why a person strives for originality and for
recognition as having a vehicle restored to "pristineality" only to fail to
reach the epitome because of some flaw. This is understanable but why not
let the aspirant in on the secret(s) of why he failed so that he may attempt
to gain concours condition at an earlier date. Isn't it the goal of the
purists to have as many Triumphs in concours as possible??

I don't know about purists, but I just want a correct car......which is my
daily driver........I want to know where it is correct or incorrect.......I
have
a Mitsibushi alternator and also an incorrect J-Type OD in my TR4A-IRS.....if
I were to ever 'show' it again I know I would probably take hits for those
changes, but I've chosen that.........what I don't like is hits that I don't
know where they are coming from.......or why...........<g>......I guess it's
the
CHOICE I want!!!!!

I am certainly not after a lot of trophies........too much trouble for
me...not really my bag.......

Cheers!

As Red Green always says, "Remember.............I'm rootin for
ya!..........we're all in this together!!!"
