Latex gloves are for the modern mechanic. UK law says I have to supply them 
for use by my staff.

On a personal level I think that they are a nightmare. The first time I 
tried them I gashed my wrist when fitting an exhaust to my daughters car. 
Perspiration build up caused my hand to slip. Not only were my hands dirty 
at the end of the installation but also very bloody.
