I'm at a point where I could remove the flywheel from my GT6-3 for

The bolts are obstinate, but that's another story.

The car has an estimated 70-80k miles. There is a minor lip (I think it's
minor, at least) on the outside of the clutch plate's contact area that I
can feel. My LBC guy suggests as SOP machining the flywheel, and replacing
the rear engine seal at this stage. I'm inclined to agree with him, but my
time is scarce, and/or I'm just plain lazy.

Should I do as I'm told? Or can I possibly get away w/o doing the
resurfacing? The car will be an occasional vehicle, not a driver, not a
show queen.

Martin,

Since the car is apart, I'd do the resurfacing (and replace the seal). If
you don't and you reassemble it and have a problem, you'll be kicking
yourself. Shouldn't take more than a day or two to do the resurfacing.
