The 4 had been running very well all summer, now that the cooler driving
weather is upon us I found the car running much hotter than previously all
summer and oil pressure which was rock solid 80 lbs at 3500 rpm drops to
55-60 lbs. It seems to lack any real power and is particularly bad on a
hill.
I also hear rattling/knocking noise from the front of the engine at low rpm,
almost a clicking noise.

So in trying to track it all down I ran a compression check on the engine
this morning and the results don't come out well: 115 30 155 0 (or near
0) from cylinder 1 to 4. With numbers like this how is it even running at
all? I re-ran all the compression test several times and the all come back
right to where they were originally recorded.

My next check was to check the adjustment of the rocker arm for proper valve
adjustment but baring that working (and I don't hold much hope) what does
the collective wisdom of the list think. Where should I go to next?

Thanks
Tom
