OK, list. i need some opinions.

i know, that will be hard for you guys!

the story - in about 2000, i picked up this basket case 57 tr3 that should
have been left to the elements. i had a great time taking it completely
apart, had it dipped/derusted, and it went to the paint shop. i was really
committed to powder blue and loved the color as the car came together. the
light tan interior looked great with it.

the body/paint guy was a complete hack, and besides leaving it out in the
rain, overdid teh bondo, didn't line things up, didn't get joints right,
etc, etc, etc.

i took it to another shop, who initially said they could fix it, then said
no way - i'd have to have it stripped again. which i did. back to bare
metal and no bondo.

finally, i found a body shop i was comfortable with, and left it with them
last july. didn't call or stop by for a few months (like six), and no
surprise, nothing happened. so for the past 5 months i have been driving 45
minutes each way once a week, and he's made great progress. the guy is an
artist; the car will be great when its done. he completeley disassembled
the tail because the car had been hit in an earlier life, and never really
done right. he's putting it back together, and wants to paint the inside of
the spare tire compartment before he welds it back up.

my problem: i now hate powder blue; my wife thinks its an emotional thing
tied up with the disaster. i totally agree with the comment that "what the
world doesn't need is another red tr3." i'm not too fond of black,
especially in texas, nor white. i also think there are too many brg cars as
well.

with the tan interior i could go almost any direction. i saw some dark blue
(roayl blue) tr4a's at TRA, and really liked them. royal blue was a tr4a
color, NOT tr3. the car is pretty original (although it came from the
factory in white with black leather).

i'm looking at salvador blue and even winchester blue. i'm not sure what
winchester blue really looks like, but i have a nice picture of a small
mouth tr3 with the salvador blue and the same tan interior.

i'm struggling. so how about some opinions? who thinks what color looks
best? other than "its your car; do what you want" what should i do???????
what would you do? is my quest for originality overdone? i'm not going to
try to win nationals; heck i've never even been to one! (we've had a tr6 for
4 years). but i'm not sure i can step over that line - wrong color!
