Way I see it, it's impossible to paint a car this old without changing it's
color.  Those old paints are simply not available any more, and modern
paints don't look the same.  And the car already isn't the original color,
it's the original color after fading for roughly a half century.  (Assuming
someone hasn't already repainted it, like the dealer.)

Sure, you can try to match up the paint codes ... but the old paints didn't
match even batch-to-batch, so at best the codes are just "kind of close to
the right color".

So now that we know you are changing the color, it's only a question of how
much you are willing to change it.  A personal decision without a doubt.

And FWIW, I think anyone who is restoring a TR with an eye towards what it
will be worth afterwards ... is in the wrong hobby !
