That sounds like a lot of work. I'd be inclined to keep the tub the same and modify the frame for more modern suspension components. Pick a car of comprable weight (I'm thinking RX7 or RWD Cougar) an

I would have to agree the TR3, it has nice lines and proportions, yes it could be bigger but it would throw off the ratios IMO. As for mods a "sleeper" with a nice suspension and good rubber would be

IMO Dave was overstating a bit ... the car at VTR had kept the lines of the TR3 very well, but it was pretty obviously modified, IMO. The tires weren't hugely wide but were by no means stock either.
