- <cut to the chase> Depends on how Audi's classifying the recall. If it's "mandatory," then it has to be done for the car to be legal. This is all in a clarification on Page 235 of the 1999 rulebook.

- Shouldn't effect it, unless the recall includes upping the boost, too. :-> It depends on whether the recall is optional or mandatory as determined by the manufacturer. Check out Appendix G-Clarificat

- According to the information that an Audi TT enthusiast I work with has, the recall is voluntary. I am not sure how this effects classing still, but your friend might not be forced to have the recall

- Well, not quite but failure to perform mandatory recalls will affect the warranty and liability in the event of a problem. Good to hear that it may be voluntary. PLW

- I don't think so. If the manufacturer says you must have the mods done to keep the car stock and warranted, than it is a mandatory recall. If you don't do it, it is not stock. Phil Ethier Saint Paul
