My 2 cents - Nothing - Unless there is an oiling slot that needs to line up, as in some cars (some American + ?) or it has a cap that will point the wires the wrong way (like my 67 Sprite with Lucas

The distributor when used with twin HS2s or whatever responds to a vacuum from 4 cylinders. The distributor when used with a DCOE 40 or 45 can only respond to a vacuum from 2 cylinders unless you go

I had (still have it in a box) a Mallory dual point. I tried it and reverted to the 23D. the Mallory is fine til one of the 2 sets of points decides to go funky, then it's a real blast to figure out.
