Here's a link to a 350HP TR6, with a "modified" frame and a Ford 9" axle to 
take the power. I have had this car in my possesion for a period of time, and 
all I can say is WOW! I put well over 1,000 miles on it while I had it, with 
absolutely zero problems. It drives and rides better than stock, and goes 
sooooooo much quicker, yet it still retains much of the original TR6 character.

Believe me, this frame is STIFF!  When I jacked up the right front side to 
remove the wheel, the left front tire was as far off the ground as the right 
side! Try that with a stock TR6 frame.
I agree with Bob, it's a matter of personal choice - show queen, stock 
driver, modified, butchered - it's your car, do with it whatever brings you the 
most 
pleasure out of it.
