Don---Many years ago the tech editor of the 6PACK Newsletter showed us a
way of greasing the inside wheel bearing without taking everything
apart. It included drilling and tapping for a Zerk fitting in this
cavity between the inside and outside bearing. Filling this space with
wheel bearing grease till it oozed out into the rear bearing was the
idea. I can see where this method would take a pound of grease before
this would reach the bearing. Could this be your case?
